Your cruise will depart from DOCK 3, located at the very end of Stokes Hill Wharf, city side. Crew members will meet you under the large white umbrellas and will commence boarding 20-minutes prior to the cruise departure time.

Generally you will leave Stokes Hill Wharf, travel along the Esplanade cruising along at 4 knots past the Larrakeyah Naval barracks, Cullen Bay and Fannie Bay. Your experienced skipper reserve the right to change the route subject to tidal conditions, guestâ€™s safety and comfort. Tidal conditions determine how close to the coast the 'Charles Darwin' can operate.

Hear knowledgeable commentary from the crew on Darwin History, Cyclone Tracey and the bombing of Darwin. In the past there have been sightings of crocodiles, dolphins, turtles and dugongs, however there is no guarantee you will see wildlife on your cruise.

You will experience a Sunset on Darwin Harbour followed by Darwinâ€™s skyline lit up at night.

The Vessel - Charles Darwin

The â€˜Charles Darwinâ€™Â is a steel-hulled tri-level catamaran originally named Shangri-La Princess. Built in Adelaide in 1990 for the Stannard family, a well-known name in the boating industry. â€˜Charles Darwinâ€™Â was built for use on the Gold Coast â€œBroadwaterâ€ taking passengers from Surferâ€™s Paradise to the Shangri-La resort on Stradbroke Island. After many yearsâ€™ service, two further owners and two name changes, she became part of Darwin Harbour Cruises family in April 2010. After extensive re-build and refurbishment in Brisbane, she sailed for Darwin as the â€˜Charles Darwinâ€™ in August 2010.

Sunset was awesome from the cruise, so relaxing and calming. Enjoyed the view from the cruise. We had a great time.

My daughter in law booked this buffet dinner cruise tonight, she told them I am vegan, and they prepared a vegan meal (chickpea curry with rice, and salad) for me, and the chef surprised me with a vegan dessert, I really had good time with family tonight. Thanks for the hospitality, I am enjoy the view and service. Recommend to all the vegan people.

Dinner Cruise: If you haven’t done a water experience in Darwin before it is really lovely. Nice relaxing cruise with beautiful sunset. If you have done water activities cruises/jet skis/champagne cruise, this experience is not so good. Dinner was very underwhelming for the price. Would be much much nicer having a good dinner at Pee Wee’s at the Point or the Jetty Steak and Seafood Restaurant and watch the sunset. Maybe even hire a tinny and take a cheese platter, some wine and some home made food or take out.

Every thing from start to finish was perfect, I couldn’t of ask for a better evening. Food, drinks, staff and the Maintenance of the boat was perfect 10/10 cheers

Some of the staffs were rude and food was disappointing especially sara-lee’s dessert 🤣 could’ve gone to woolies for that.

Enjoyed a wonderful sunset cruise in Darwin. Very clean boat, staff were very accommodating. Food was delicious, drinks icy cold. Commentary by Dave was informative and humorous. Reserved a table up on the top deck, meal ordered prior. There is a Buffett downstairs as well, food looked tasty

What a way to spend our last night in Darwin. This cruise was a great way to relax before heading home. Boarded and ordered the Graze and Gaze platter which was so great food. Well worth it! The staff were obliging and friendly, the boat was well equipped and the bar was stocked! The warm ocean breeze and the lights of Darwin was a beautiful sight we didn’t want to get off.

Beautiful. We had a fabulous time on the cruise. We opted for the meal as well, smorgasbord, was very plentiful with fresh seafood and plenty of options. The cruise was timed perfectly and it was lovely along the harbour at night. Staff were fabulous! Well worth it and would totally recommend!
