The Fascine

The Fascine is a picturesque bay in Carnarvon favoured by locals and popular with visitors. Take a gentle stroll along the boardwalk on the oceanfront to admire the coconut and cotton palms that line the path. Stop for a picnic on the grass and stay until sunset where you will witness a stunning Western Australian sunset. Take a swim in the ocean, build sandcastles on the pristine sandy beach or throw out a fishing line and try and catch the evening meal. With an interesting history and plenty of historical buildings, a walk around Olivia Terrace and the other back streets near The Fascine will introduce you to a variety of graceful heritage listed buildings. The Fascine is in Carnarvon, a ten hour drive north of Perth. Whilst in the area, be sure to visit the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct.
