About Kosciuszko National Park

With 673,524 hectares, Kosciuszko National Park is an area of outstanding beauty with glacial lakes, limestone caves, grasslands and woodlands. During winter the Park is host to some of Australia's best skiing conditions. The rest of the year it's ideal for summer hiking, mountain biking, climbing, white water adventures, caving, sight-seeing and other nature based experiences. In spring and summer, the mountains are ablaze with wildflowers and crisscrossed by walking tracks, many above the tree line providing spectacular views over the roof top of Australia. Mount Kosciuszko is the highest point in Australia at 2,228 metres.
