Clairault is one of the oldest vineyard's in Margaret River region, its first vines having been planted in 1976. Clairault is named after the nearby Cape Clairault, a prominent local landmark to the south of the popular surfing beach in Yallingup.

Clairault's commitment to quality and excellence is evident in the accolades and awards they have received for both the Cellar Door, Restaurant and their wines. In 2003 Clairault was awarded the Western Australian Tourism Award for Tourism Wineries.
